Soups: Tomato and Lentil Soup INDIA

  • 1 kg Vine tomatoes – quarter, roughly dice
  • 2 Solo garlic – finely chopped
  • 1 Chopped onion
  • 1 Red chilli pepper – finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 0,5 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Garam Marsala
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 600 ml Vegetable broth
  • 300 ml Coconut milk
  • 175 g Lentils red
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice
  • Salt
  • White milled pepper
  • 2 tbsp Finely chopped coriander
  1. Heat the butter in a saucepan, fry the onion and garlic in it. Add the chilli, turmeric, garam marsala and cumin and sauté.
  2. Add the tomato cubes and stir-fry for about 2 minutes. Deglaze with the vegetable stock and coconut milk, add the lentils and lemon juice and bring to the boil.
  3. Simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes, season again and serve sprinkled with fresh coriander
