Sour Cream Dip

The perfect sour cream dip recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Sour cream
  • 2 Gherkins
  • 2 tablespoon Sud of the pickles
  • 1 kl. Onion
  • 2 kl. Spring onions fresh
  • 1 kl. Apple Breaburn
  • 1 kl. Black pepper from the mill
  • 2 Knife point Chilli flakes
  • 2 Knife point Cream
  1. Dice the cucumber and both types of onion very finely and cut the green slices of the spring onions diagonally into the finest rings. Eighth the apple and cut away the core, then cut the pieces into fine slices.
  2. Set aside a few pieces of the onion slices and the cucumber and apple pieces for garnishing later.
  3. Mix the sour cream with the cucumber stock until smooth, stir in the vegetables, pepper and chilli flakes and stir in enough cream until a creamy consistency is achieved. Cover the dip in the fridge and let it cool.
  4. It goes well with fresh matjes fillets, but also with vegetable sticks or taccos to nibble on. I served it with double matjes fillets with fine bacon potatoes.
