Sour Purple Smoothie

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 jar chickweed or ground elder, finely chopped
  • 1 jar dead nettle leaves, fresh
  • 2 glasses of water
  • 1 jar raspberries
  • 1 jar blueberries or wild berries
  • 1 banana(s)
  • 1 kiwi(s)
  • ½ avocado(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 minutes; Total time approx. 7 minutes

Wildberry-Kiwi-Herb-Banana-Avocado Mix, 1 glass = 250 ml or 1 American cup

First, add the chickweed and water to the blender. Since mine can’t quite process it, I push the puree through a sieve, then add the dead nettle leaves and blend until it looks relatively smooth. Then add the remaining ingredients. If the berries are frozen, they’ll have a pleasant freshness; otherwise, the banana can be frozen. If you don’t have the herbs on hand, you can of course use ground elder, nettles, or even two jars of fresh spinach. The smoothie will keep in the fridge for up to three days, but it’s tastiest fresh, of course.
