Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 1 tbsp oil
- 5 chicken breast fillets
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp basil, dried
- 100 ml soy sauce, dark
- 120 ml ketchup
- 60 ml honey
- 2 garlic cloves, squeezed
- 2 spring onions, cut into rings
- 1 bell pepper(s) (red or yellow), in pieces

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 hours 30 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 50 minutes
a recipe for the crockpot / slow cooker
This recipe is designed for a 3.5 L crockpot (CP). First, lightly oil the inner pot. Place the chicken breasts side by side on the bottom of the CP and sprinkle with cayenne pepper and basil. Top with the spring onions and paprika. Mix a marinade of soy sauce, ketchup, honey, and garlic and pour it evenly over the dish. Cover. Cook on medium heat for 3.5 to 4.5 hours. Rice makes an excellent side dish.
