Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter or margarine
  • 250 g sugar
  • 200 g marzipan paste
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 250 g flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 100 g block chocolate
  • e.g. powdered sugar
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Cream the butter and sugar until smooth. Cut the marzipan into small pieces and stir in. Mix the baking powder with the flour and stir in alternately with the eggs. Cut the chocolate block into small pieces or coarsely grate it, then fold it into the batter. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Pour the cake into a greased pan and bake for approximately 50-60 minutes (use a skewer to check if it’s done). Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
