Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 500 g spelt flour
- 2 packets of baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 200 g sugar
- some cinnamon powder
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 200 g butter, can be omitted
- 200 ml milk
- 300 g cherry(s), drained or
- 200 g blueberries with
- 50 g chocolate, white or
- 300 g carrot(s) with
- 5 tbsp chocolate (chocolate chips) or
- 2 apples with
- 100 g raisins or sultanas or
- 200 g sweets (Smarties)
- ½ bar of Toblerone

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Dietary option possible, makes approx. 24 pieces
Mix the first 8 ingredients together until smooth. Gradually add the milk; the batter shouldn’t be too runny. If you’re making low-fat muffins, omit the butter. Stir the ingredients for the variations directly into the batter: e.g., cherries with chocolate shavings, blueberries with white chocolate, grated carrots with chocolate chips, diced apples from 2 apples with raisins, Smarties, or chopped Toblerone… Fill the batter into the prepared baking cups to within 1 cm of the rim. Bake at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20 minutes on the middle rack.
