Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g spelt flour
  • 1 sachet of dry yeast
  • 20 g sugar or honey
  • 1 tsp, heaped salt
  • 330 ml milk, lukewarm
  • e.g. sesame or poppy seeds

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 55 minutes

easily digestible, light bread

Put the flour and salt in a bowl. Add the dried yeast and sugar to the lukewarm milk and then add it to the bowl. Knead with a food processor until you have a dough and let it rise in a warm place for one hour until it has doubled in size. Then knead the dough again thoroughly and shape it into an oblong shape. Place the dough in a greased loaf pan and let it rise for another 45 minutes. Cut a slit lengthwise down the middle with a knife and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds if desired. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat) and place a small bowl of water in the oven. Place the loaf pan in the oven and bake for about 50 minutes.
