Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g sheep’s cheese
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 chili peppers, red, fresh
  • e.g. yogurt (cream yogurt, 10%), Greek
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 6 olives, green
  • 1 lemon(s), 4 slices

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Tirosaláta

It’s best to soak the feta cheese in cold water for 2 hours before preparation to reduce its saltiness. Drain and crumble it into a bowl. Mash it finely with a fork (do not use a blender, or the cream will become mushy). Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic. Split the chili peppers lengthwise and deseed them under running water. Then trim and chop very finely. Stir everything into the feta cheese. Add enough yogurt as needed until the mixture is thick and creamy. Carefully season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve the cheese cream garnished with green olives and lemon slices.
