Spicy leek stalks

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 stalk(s) leeks
  • 6 slice(s) ham, raw
  • 6 slice(s) ham, cooked
  • 250 ml milk
  • 4 eggs
  • nutmeg
  • 200 g cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Clean the leeks and pre-cook for about 15 minutes. Remove from the cooking water, pat dry, and spread with mustard. Wrap each leek with a slice of raw ham and a slice of cooked ham and place in a casserole dish. Whisk together the milk, nutmeg, eggs, and salt and pour over the leeks. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake in the oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 20 minutes. Serve with potatoes. Double the batch for a main course.
