Spicy oven dumplings

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 5 stale rolls
  • 175 g bacon
  • 1 large onion(s) (vegetable onion)
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 200 g cheese (Holland Gouda), grated
  • 250 ml cream
  • 125 ml milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 g quark
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the roll into slices about 1 cm thick. Finely dice the bacon (you can also buy it pre-diced!), peel, and chop the onion. First, fry the bacon, then sauté the onion. Wash and finely chop the parsley. In a buttered casserole dish, alternate layers of roll, onion, cheese, and parsley. Top with cheese. Mix the cream, milk, eggs, and quark, season with salt and pepper, and pour over the casserole. Bake in the oven at 200°C (top and bottom heat) for about 30 minutes.
