Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 500 g butternut squash(s), cleaned and weighed
- 500 g banana(s), peeled and weighed
- 500 g gelling sugar 2:1
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
- ¼ tsp ginger

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Cook the chopped pumpkin in a large pot with a little water until soft (I usually start with 100 ml and add more as needed to prevent burning; depending on the size of the pieces, this can take 10 to 20 minutes, stirring frequently). Add the sliced bananas and let them cook until soft, then puree. Add the spices (a little more if you prefer a stronger flavor) and preserving sugar, bring to a boil while stirring. Once boiling, continue to boil vigorously for another 4 minutes. Be careful, it will splash. Then fill clean jars to the brim and seal tightly.
