Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 300 g fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 stalk(s) leeks
  • 2 onions
  • 4 cups of cream
  • 300 g cheese (Gouda), grated
  • 6 pork schnitzels or turkey schnitzels
  • salt and pepper
  • Vegetable broth (Vegeta)
  • 300 g cooked ham, diced
  • Flour

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Season the schnitzel with salt and pepper and bread it, or simply coat it in flour. Briefly fry it in a pan until golden brown. Remove it from the pan and fry the onion, sliced ​​leek, mushrooms, and diced ham in the stock. Transfer the meat to a roasting pan, cover with the vegetables from the pan, and drizzle with cream. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake in the oven at 150°C for 45 minutes. Tip: Make the schnitzel and vegetables a day in advance. They should marinate well, which will make them particularly flavorful. Serve with rice, pasta, or baguette.
