Spicy spaghetti

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 320 g spaghetti or other pasta
  • 2 onions
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp sambal oelek
  • 100 ml chili sauce for chicken (Asian store)
  • 400 g pizza tomatoes (1 can)
  • 500 g tomatoes, pureed
  • salt and pepper
  • butter
  • Parmesan, freshly grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Spaghetti with spicy tomato sauce

Cook the pasta in salted water to your liking. Sauté the finely chopped onion and garlic in a pot until translucent. Add the sambal oelek and chili sauce and heat briefly. Then add the passata and pizza tomatoes and simmer briefly. Season with salt and pepper. For a more refined finish, add a little butter and Parmesan cheese to the dish.
