Spicy turnip stew

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 750 g turnip(s), diced
  • 400 g potatoes, diced
  • 400 g carrot(s), diced
  • ¼ liter vegetable broth
  • 100 ml white wine
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • n. B. Bacon

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Pour the oil into a pot and sauté the onions and garlic until translucent. Then add the diced turnips, carrots, and potatoes and fry briefly. Then add the stock, white wine (you can omit it), and cream. Season with curry powder, salt, and pepper and cook for about 30 minutes. If you like, you can also sprinkle with fried bacon cubes.
