Mashed potatoes with chicory salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 15 large potatoes
  • 5 thick Mettwurst sausages
  • 2 large onions
  • salt and pepper
  • 6 m.-large chicory, cleaned, cut
  • Vinegar
  • oil
  • 1 small onion(s), chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the potatoes and place them in water. Peel the onion and dice roughly. Halve the sausages and cut into not too thick pieces. Briefly sauté the sausages and onions in the pan, then add the diced potatoes and season with salt and pepper. Now add about 250-300 ml of water and cook the potatoes until mushy. Mash with a masher, if desired. Dress the chicory salad with a dressing made from finely chopped onion, vinegar, oil, salt, and pepper and serve.
