bean stew

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g beans, green, frozen
  • 500 g potato(s), floury, peeled and diced
  • 300 g sausages (Debreciner, sliced)
  • broth
  • savory
  • some flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Place all ingredients in a pot. Fill with broth until the ingredients are covered. If you don’t have broth, use water and an instant stock cube. Bring to a boil briefly and simmer on low heat until the potatoes have the right bite. This takes about 20 minutes. Then thicken the mixture with a roux to taste and finish with savory. The special thing about this stew is that it doesn’t require any additional seasoning, as the Debrecen beans give this dish its special flavor. The quantities of the individual ingredients can vary depending on your taste. Of course, you can also use fresh beans. In this case, the beans are added a little later.
