  • 125 milliliters of milk
  • 200 grams of applesauce
  • Some powdered sugar to sprinkle on top

Sponge cake with applesauce: how to prepare it

For the preparation, you need a hand mixer and a Gugelhupf or other baking pan.

  • Preheat your oven to 180 degrees.
  • First, cream the butter with salt, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Add the eggs one at a time.
  • Then mix the flour with the baking powder and stir it into the butter mixture alternately with the milk. Finally, stir the apple sauce into the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the pre-greased baking pan and bake for about 50 minutes, depending on the type of oven.
  • Allow your cake to cool for about 10 minutes before turning out. Sprinkle with a little powdered sugar before serving.
