Spring onion butter

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g cream cheese
  • 6 spring onions
  • salt and pepper
  • Chili pepper(s), finely ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Whisk the room-temperature butter and cream cheese thoroughly. This can also be done with an electric whisk. Wash the spring onions, discarding any wilted parts, and slice them into wafer-thin rings with a sharp knife. Mix them into the butter and cream cheese mixture. Season to taste with salt and pepper and a touch of chili powder. Tastes great on bread, but also with boiled potatoes.
