Spritzkuchen

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 ml water
  • 100 g butter
  • 200 g flour
  • 5 eggs
  • Oil, for frying
  • frosting

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

from the grandmother, for about 25 pieces

First, bring the water and butter to a boil in a saucepan. Then turn off the heat and stir in the flour until a lump of dough forms. Let it cool until it is just lukewarm. Then stir in the eggs one at a time. Don’t be surprised if the eggs are so difficult to stir in; just keep stirring. The result should be a relatively sticky dough. Now heat some fat in a saucepan or deep fryer and pipe the dough mixture onto a sieve using a piping bag and let it slide into the fat. Depending on the size of the piping bag, pipe two circles on top of each other (this is what we did with our bag). Fry the rings until golden brown and let them cool, then cover with icing.
