Steak marinade quickly conjured up

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 steak(s) (minute steaks) of beef
  • e.g. olive oil
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • ½ red bell pepper(s)
  • Peppercorns, black
  • Spice mix (steak and grill seasoning)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

for the barbecue season

I’m assuming two “minute steaks” here. Rub the beef steaks on both sides with olive oil (you can be generous) and lightly sprinkle with the seasoning. Depending on the thickness of the steak, you may need to apply a slightly thicker layer of seasoning. Pour some olive oil into a shallow plastic container, halve and slice the onion. Dice the garlic clove. Sprinkle half of each into the container. Then dice the bell pepper half into small cubes, and half of this also goes into the container. Finally, sprinkle a few whole peppercorns over the top – the “marinade bed” is complete. Place the meat on top and sprinkle the top with the remaining onion rings, diced garlic, bell pepper, and peppercorns. Finally, pour over a little olive oil, and the marinade is ready. It’s recommended to let the steaks marinate, covered, in the refrigerator for about 6 hours to allow the flavor to develop. My husband is a big critic, and because he was so enthusiastic about the marinade, I decided to take the plunge and post it here. Of course, the amount can vary depending on the thickness and number of steaks. Everyone should decide for themselves how much they want to put in the can. My recipe is only a rough guideline, since you can never be exact. Not every steak is the same.
