Steak salad

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g steak(s) of beef or pork, fried
  • 1 apple
  • 5 gherkins or 2 – 3 pickled cucumbers
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 pinch(s) salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Perfect for using up leftovers from a barbecue

Cut the cold steak and apple into thin, fine strips. Finely chop the onions and slice the cucumbers or gherkins. Marinate everything in a bowl with vinegar, oil, and mustard, and season with salt and pepper. The mayonnaise is optional; it makes it a little creamier, but the salad tastes great without it. Finally, let it marinate for another 30 minutes. Roasted potatoes go perfectly with this salad.
