Steamed Chinese cabbage

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 bell peppers, red and yellow
  • 1 large Chinese cabbage
  • some caraway
  • 1 bay leaf
  • some salt and pepper
  • 125 ml water or broth
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp sour cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the Chinese cabbage and bell pepper into strips, and finely chop the onion. Heat oil in a large pot and sauté the onion and bell pepper. Deglaze with broth or water, add the Chinese cabbage and seasonings. Cover the pot and sauté the vegetables over low heat until soft. Combine the flour with sour cream and stir into the Chinese cabbage. This dish goes perfectly with pork, poultry, and minced meat.
