- 3 kilogram Apples, windfalls

- Peel the carrots and put them through the food processor. Mix the carrot wedges with approx. 200 grams of sugar, cover and let stand overnight.

- Fill a steam juicer with water and fill the apple pieces into the perforated insert. Close the lid and bring the water to a boil. Place a sufficiently large pot under the outlet hose, which is closed with a clamp, and wait …..
- As soon as the first juice appears in the tube, add the carrots to the saucepan and mix with the apples.
- Now loosen the clamp and let the juice run out. In between, check the water level in the steamer and, if necessary, top up with water. As soon as the juice stops flowing, stop the juicing process.
- Measure the collected juice and add sugar. (500 grams of sugar are used per liter of juice).
- Bring the whole thing to the boil again and pour it into hot-rinsed bottles with screw caps.
