Strawberries with balsamic vinegar

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g strawberries
  • 1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar, with fig
  • 1 n. B. lemon pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Carefully place the fresh strawberries in a sieve and rinse with cold water. Gently dry and remove any green parts. Cut large strawberries in half. Place the strawberries in a sufficiently large bowl, drizzle with balsamic vinegar, and season with freshly ground lemon pepper. Stir gently to prevent the fruit from becoming mushy. The strawberries can be eaten immediately, but they also taste great the next day if kept refrigerated. It’s recommended to use high-quality vinegar, as the acidity otherwise overpowers the strawberry flavor. Use a little more or less depending on the type of vinegar. Just experiment. Tastes delicious with grilled food or asparagus.
