Strawberries with white chocolate sauce

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 750 g strawberries
  • 1 tbsp lime(s) – zest, grated
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp pepper, pickled green pepper (finely chopped)
  • 400 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 80 g white chocolate coating
  • 2 tbsp liquor (arrack, rice brandy)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Hull, wash, and halve the strawberries. Whisk together the lime zest, juice, and powdered sugar until smooth. Mix the peppercorns with the strawberries and lime sauce. Take 3 tablespoons of the milk and whisk with the cornstarch until smooth. Bring the remaining milk to a boil, stir in the cornstarch, and cook for 1 minute. Roughly chop the chocolate coating and melt it in the milk while stirring. Stir in the arrack. Let the sauce cool. Alternate strawberries and sauce in glasses or bowls. Note: Dry sherry can also be used instead of the rice brandy.
