Strawberry Doughnut Shortcakes

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 5 doughnuts, bought or homemade
  • 300 ml whipped cream, cold
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 5 tbsp strawberry jam
  • 300 g strawberries or other fruits

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Strawberry Donut Shortcakes

First, cut the doughnuts horizontally with a sharp bread knife and set aside. Next, add the cream. Whip it with the grated orange zest, sugar, and vanilla sugar. You can use any fruit you like. In addition to strawberries, mangoes, peaches, raspberries, and blackberries all work well. Just make sure you cut the fruit into the smallest pieces possible. Spread a thin layer of strawberry jam on the bottom of the doughnuts, then spread the fruit on top, and finally add the cream. Then add the top of the doughnuts, and our delicious strawberry doughnut shortcakes are ready. Keep the shortcakes refrigerated until ready to serve.
