Strawberry Jam with Elderflower Syrup

The perfect strawberry jam with elderflower syrup recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Fresh strawberries
  • 100 ml Elderflower syrup
  • 1 packet Dr. Oetker preserving sugar for strawberry jam
  1. Wash and clean the strawberries.
  2. Have clean twist-off glasses ready.
  3. Then puree the strawberries. (This step is not strictly necessary, but we prefer the jam with fewer pieces.)
  4. Put the strawberries in a saucepan and mix the preserving sugar with the mixture. Bring everything to the boil while stirring over high heat.
  5. Let the mixture boil for at least 3 minutes while stirring constantly!
  6. Then add the syrup to the mixture and let it boil again briefly.
  7. Possibly do a gel test. Pour the mixture into the jars and close immediately and turn the jars upside down for about 5 minutes.
  8. Your delicious jam is already ready 🙂
  9. PS: I used 7 screw-top jars a 230ml.
