Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 kg strawberries
- 1 tbsp lavender flowers
- 500 g gelling sugar, 2:1
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 minutes; Total time approx. 48 minutes
Wash and cut the strawberries. Mix with the gelling sugar and let stand for a while. Puree the strawberries, bring to a boil, and simmer for about 3 minutes. Test for settling, remove from the heat, and stir in the lavender. Pour the jam into prepared jars, screw on the lids, turn upside down, and let cool. Note: The jam tastes best if you let the jars stand for a few months. I recently opened one that was a year old, and it’s absolutely delicious.
