Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g strawberries, stemmed
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 50 g sugar, brown or white
  • 50 ml red wine, rum or liqueur
  • ½ tsp vanilla (bourbon vanilla), ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

quick, vegan

Combine all ingredients in a pot and puree. I only do it roughly because we like chunks in the sauce, but you can also puree and strain it. For those who need the sauce right away: you can use it as is. For those who want to store it, please bring it to a boil briefly, pour it into appropriate portion containers, and freeze. Tastes great on vanilla ice cream.
