Stuffed apples

Spread the love

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 12 apples
  • 1 pack of walnuts
  • 100 g chocolate
  • 1 kg sugar
  • 1 liter of water
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 40 minutes

Boil down one liter of water with one kilogram of sugar until a syrup forms. When bubbles form and the syrup is no longer liquid, it’s ready. Peel the apples and core them using an apple corer. Let the apples simmer in the syrup for about 5-10 minutes, depending on their size. When the apples are soft but not completely cooked, remove them from the syrup and place them on a plate or serving platter. Melt the butter and chocolate in a saucepan and add 1-2 tablespoons of milk. Chop 5 tablespoons of walnuts and add them. Fill the apples with the mixture. Pour the remaining syrup over the apples and decorate each apple with half a walnut. Let the apples cool.
