Ingredients for 15 servings:

  • 80 g ham, diced
  • 400 g flour
  • 200 g cheese, grated
  • 200 g butter
  • 4 egg yolks
  • some salt
  • 1 ball(s) of mozzarella

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

hearty with bacon

Fry the ham cubes in a pan until crispy. Dice the mozzarella. Make a dough from flour, grated cheese, 3 egg yolks, butter, and a pinch of salt, and roll it out to about 4 mm thick. Use a glass to cut out round cookies and brush with egg yolk. Place a piece of mozzarella and a few ham cubes in the center, cover with another cookie, and press the edges down. Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C (320°F) for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Serve with a green salad and a cold beer.
