Ingredients for 4 servings:

- 1 bunch of basil
- 400 g minced meat, seasoned
- pepper
- 1 ciabatta (approx. 400 g)
- 40 g butter (garlic butter)
- 2 large tomatoes
- 1 pack of mozzarella
- salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 pinch(s) of sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Finely dice the onion. Finely slice all but a few of the basil leaves. Knead the ground beef, onions, 2/3 of the basil strips, and a pinch of pepper together. Cut a wedge lengthwise out of the bread. Spread the cut with garlic butter. Pour the ground beef mixture into the bread, press down lightly, and bake the ciabatta on a baking sheet lined with baking paper at 200 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes. Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella. Top the ciabatta with the slices. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and the remaining basil strips, and drizzle with olive oil. Bake at the same temperature for about 20 minutes. Slice and garnish with the remaining basil.
