for the oven or grill

For the filling, place the minced meat in a bowl and season with the spices. Add the mushrooms and mix well with your hands. Peel the onion and cut it in half lengthwise. Separate as many layers as you need for the meat. This amount should make 3-4 balls. Form the meat balls large enough to fit comfortably into the onion skins. Wrap each meatball in two onion skin halves. Wrap these balls in bacon and brush with the BBQ sauce. Place the balls on a baking tray and bake in the oven at 180°C for 30 minutes or grill them on the barbecue.
