Stuffed pizza bread

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 m.-sized white bread
  • 170 g salami (pepperoni salami)
  • 1 can pizza sauce
  • ½ m.-sized onion(s)
  • ½ bunch basil
  • 250g mozzarella
  • 200 g Gouda, grated
  • ½ bell pepper(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cut the white bread in half and hollow out the bottom half. Spread the hollowed-out bottom with pizza sauce and arrange the mozzarella slices inside. Top with pepperoni salami and sprinkle with finely diced onion. Slice the bell peppers and add them with the basil. Then cover with Gouda cheese. Spread a few more spoonfuls of pizza sauce on top and place the top half of the bread on top. Weigh the bread down with a heavy wooden board for about 30 seconds. Sprinkle some more cheese on top and bake at 175°C for about 30 minutes. The toppings can be varied according to your taste.
