Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 100 g lard
- 500 ml water
- 500 g buckwheat, ground (heather flour)
- 100 g cracklings (greaves)
- some salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Styrian specialty
Heat lard in a pan. Mix water with the flour and add it to the heated pan. Toast over low heat. Fry the cracklings (let them heat until crispy), then use this crackling mixture to lightly fry the heather porridge until it’s very small. Tastes great with mushroom soup.
