Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1 kg wheat flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 500 ml milk
  • 100 g butter
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cube of yeast
  • some powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Warm the milk slightly and melt the butter in it. Combine all ingredients to form a dough, cover, and let rise. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Shape the dough into rolls (for example, into a grape or heart-shaped roll, but always make individual rolls). Bake the rolls at 180 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving. If desired, you can also make a glaze with powdered sugar, water, and lemon juice and cover the rolls with it.
