Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g sugar
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 1 orange(s), organic
  • 1 lemon(s), organic

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Boil the sugar and water. Scrape the seeds from the vanilla pod and add them. Add the orange and lemon zest and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Strain through a sieve. Keeps refrigerated for up to 6 weeks. Depending on how much you need, this will yield about 5-10 servings, but you can use less if you need more for a recipe.
