Sugarloaf lettuce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 small head of sugarloaf lettuce
  • 1 small apple
  • 1 small carrot(s)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 some salt
  • 3 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 3 tbsp sunflower oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Remove the outer leaves from the sugarloaf. Split the head in half and chop both halves very finely. Soak the chopped lettuce in warm water to remove its bitterness. For the marinade, combine the salt, sugar, vinegar, and oil. Slice the apple and carrot into fine sticks and add to the marinade. Finally, mix the sugarloaf vigorously.
