Fruity- fresh- fiery: a mandarin orange cake with orange flavor and few calories

Preheat oven to 170°C fan/convection oven. Make a dough from the ingredients and spread 2/3 of it on the bottom and sides of a springform pan lined with baking paper (the edges should be lightly greased and floured). Beat the egg yolks and sugar until fluffy, then mix the low-fat quark with the starch, Grand Marnier, and juices until smooth, then stir in. Beat the egg whites with the salt until stiff peaks and fold in. Pour the quark mixture into the base and scatter the mandarins on top. Drop the remaining dough onto the quark mixture. Bake for about 1 hour, covering with aluminum foil/baking paper after 30 minutes if necessary. Allow to cool thoroughly. Low-fat margarine can be replaced with regular or butter. Sugar can be added if desired.
