Ingredients for 8 servings:
- 750 g cherry(s) from the jar, drained
- 100 ml oil
- 150 ml milk
- 200 g sugar
- 400 g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 2 eggs
- Grease for the tray
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Sponge cake with cherries
Whisk the eggs and sugar until fluffy, then add the remaining ingredients (except the cherries) and mix well. Pour into a round, greased baking sheet. Lightly coat the cherries in flour to prevent them from sliding to the bottom of the cake, then scatter them over the batter. Bake the cake at 180°C on the bottom rack for about 40 minutes.
