Super delicious sponge cake with orange juice

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 300 g sugar
  • ⅛ liter juice (orange)
  • 375 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 375 g liquid margarine
  • Fat, for the shape

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Very juicy and easy to make

Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites with the salt until stiff. Beat the egg yolks with the vanilla sugar, sugar, and juice until frothy. Combine the flour and baking powder. Gradually add the flour and melted margarine to the egg mixture, a spoonful at a time, mixing thoroughly. Finally, carefully fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into a greased springform pan with a tube insert or a Kaiser-style baking pan. Bake on the bottom rack of a preheated oven (190°C/fan oven) for about 50 minutes.
