Super-fast cherry slices

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 cake (loaf cake made from sponge mixture) Ready-made product or home-baked and possibly frozen)
  • 1 cup of red fruit compote (cherry compote) from the refrigerated section
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • some sugar or sweetener

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

for those in a hurry – when the visitor is already at the door!

Cut the loaf cake into slices. Place 2-3 tablespoons of cherry compote on each slice and spread 1-2 tablespoons of whipped cream on top. Tip: When buying store-bought cake, make sure it’s of good quality. I’ve had very good experiences with Bahlsen loaf cakes in the marzipan, eggnog, or chocolate flavors. Tip: Homemade loaf cakes made from sponge cake freeze well; it’s best to freeze them in slices and defrost them in the microwave if needed. This way, even the most unexpected arrival won’t throw you off balance.
