Ingredients for 6 servings:
- ½ liter of milk
- 300 g flour
- 120 g butter
- 8 eggs
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of baking powder
- Cinnamon and sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Briefly bring the milk to a boil with a pinch of salt and butter, stir in the flour, and continue stirring until the dough is smooth and pulls away from the bottom of the pan. We’ve made choux pastry. Using a dough hook, gradually add the eggs and baking powder, one at a time. We place the mixture in our hands, make a fist, and between our thumb and forefinger we get nice, even pieces. We then scrape off the pieces with a teaspoon and fry them in hot fat (in a deep fryer) until golden brown. If we’ve done everything right, the individual pieces will double in size. Drain well and roll in cinnamon sugar. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
