Swedish Plum Cake

  • 200 g Butter
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 250 g Flour
  • 100 g Food starch
  • 1 packet Baking powder

Cinnamon and sugar mixture

  • 200 g Sugar
  • 2 Egg yolk
  • 2 tsp Cinammon

Anything else

  • Breadcrumbs and some butter for the tray
  1. Wash, halve and stone the plums. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C. Grease the pan with butter and dust with breadcrumbs.
  2. For the dough, beat the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt with the whisk of the hand mixer until creamy. Stir in eggs one at a time. Mix the flour, starch and baking powder. Stir in briefly. Put the batter on the drip pan and smooth it out. Spread the plum halves tightly on the dough.
  3. Mix the egg yolk, cinnamon and sugar well with a fork. Spread the cinnamon and sugar mixture loosely on the plums with a spoon. Bake in the oven for about 50 minutes, remove and let cool. Enjoy with whipped cream.
