Sweet and spicy Bolognese

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat
  • 1 bell pepper(s)
  • ½ onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 pepper, hot
  • 2 tsp, heaped tomato paste
  • 1 can tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 jar tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp curry powder, English style
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp herbs de Provence
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

with peppers and onions

Brown the minced meat in olive oil until crispy. Add the diced bell peppers, onion, chili peppers, and the whole, slightly crushed garlic cloves to the pan and cook until translucent. Then add the tomato paste and continue cooking until the tomato paste turns brown. Then add all the spices and the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes to the pan. Let everything simmer for about an hour.
