Sweet Cinnamon Swirls

The perfect sweet cinnamon swirls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • Yeast dough:
  • 500 g Flour
  • 1 Pc. Egg
  • 75 g Melt butter, lukewarm
  • 250 ml Milk lukewarm
  • 0,5 dice Yeast
  • 3 El Sugar
  • Filling:
  • 90 g Soft butter
  • 80 g Sugar
  • 2 tsp Cinammon
  1. Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the milk.
  1. Put the remaining ingredients in a bowl and add the yeast milk and knead everything into a smooth, soft dough that is no longer sticky. If the dough is still sticky, add a little more flour. Let the dough rise for 45 minutes.
  1. While waiting, mix the softened butter with the sugar and cinnamon. Knead the finished dough again and roll it out into a rectangle 60×35 cm. Spread the cinnamon butter on only half of the rectangle. Now lay the other half over it.
  1. Cut the dough into 20 strips, twist each strip and place on a baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 200 ° and bake the cinnamon swirls for 10 minutes. Let cool on the baking sheet.
