Sweet dumplings

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g margarine, soft
  • 5 tbsp natural yogurt
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 300 g flour
  • n. B. Jam, of your choice
  • some powdered sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

jam-filled biscuits

In a bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder. In a second bowl, beat the margarine with the vanilla sugar, sugar, and a pinch of salt until creamy. Add the yogurt. Sift the flour and baking powder mixture over the dough and knead into a smooth, soft dough (add a little more flour if the dough is still sticky). Let it rest for 10 minutes. Roll out the rested dough to about 1 cm thick. Cut out round circles and place 1/2 teaspoon of jam in the center (I used homemade raspberry jam). Fold the dough over like a large “D” and press the edges together with a fork (also for decoration). Preheat the oven to 170°C (top/bottom heat). Place the dumplings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake on the middle rack for about 25-30 minutes, until lightly browned. Remove the dumplings from the oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
