  • Butter for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes

Cook the pasta and set aside. Peel, core, and chop the apples into small pieces. Beat the egg whites with salt until stiff peaks form. Cream the butter, sugar, and egg yolks until fluffy. Combine the mixture with the quark, almonds, raisins, grated lemon zest, and apples. Mix everything with the pasta and finally fold in the stiff peaks. Pour the mixture into a buttered casserole dish and bake in the oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 50-60 minutes. This casserole tastes best served hot! If you like, you can also make a custard sauce to go with it.
