Sweet plum dumplings

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g quark
  • 400 g flour
  • 80 g semolina
  • 2 tbsp, leveled margarine
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 12 plums
  • 12 sugar cubes, if necessary
  • salt water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Knead all ingredients except the plums into a smooth dough. It will be a bit crumbly at first, but then it will become smooth. Pit the plums. Shape the dough into about 12 dumplings and place a plum in the center of each. Then add these to boiling salted water and let them stand for about 15 minutes (do not boil them any longer!). The dumplings are ready when they float to the top. If you like, you can now melt butter and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over them, or serve with vanilla sauce. Tip: If the plums aren’t too sweet, I add a sugar cube to the pitted plums.
