Sweet Puff Pastry
The perfect sweet puff pastry recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

- 40 g Butter
- 100 g Sugar
- 200 gr Almonds
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla sugar
- 1 middle Egg
- Roll out the puff pastry.

- Sugar Mix the vanilla sugar and the egg together.
- Melt the butter, I made it in a mug in the microwave. Add the butter to the sugar and egg mixture, then add the nuts and stir well.
- Preheat the oven to 200C fan oven.
- Spread the filling on a puff pastry. This is best done with a scraper, which can then be slightly moistened to spread the filling.
- Then place the second puff pastry on top of the filling, like a sandwich.
- Cut strips two centimeters wide. Then cut once more in the middle.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Take the puff pastry cut into strips and turn it gently like a screw.
- Place on the baking sheet and continue so on. Until the puff pastry is used up.
- Bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes, depending on the oven.
- Then sprinkle with powdered sugar. You can also apply a glaze. Simply mix powdered sugar with water, it should be a little thick, then brush the particles with it.
- We like powdered sugar best; the puff pastry tastes best fresh.
